A THANK YOU FROM THE ESTRANGED CAR CLUB

WOW! That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think about this past weekend. And if there is one word that sums it up, that's it.

I originally published a recap of our (The Estranged Car Club) event last year, it can be found here: THE ESTRANGED DRAG SHOW

Since everything I wrote in that original story still rings true, it would seem a bit redundant to do it all over again. All I wanted to do here is to say THANK YOU on behalf of myself and the entire Estranged Car Club to everyone that made this year so special and share a few photos with you.

To say that we were humbled, grateful and absolutely blown away by this year's show would be an understatement. I will admit that after last year's event concluded with an undertone of sadness and marred by tragedy, we entered into this one somewhat reluctantly, with heavy hearts and a sort of cautious optimism. Realistically, we didn't know how it would go, or how it would "feel." We *hoped* it would go smoothly, feel right and be a good event. We had no idea it would be as truly special as it was.

Saturday is always the biggest of the three days - by a long shot. This year was no exception, and it was HUGE indeed this year. More than 150 cars and I don't even know how many hundreds of spectators, but it was a metric ton........ and all seemed to be having the time of their lives. The number of cheerful, smiling faces at that track was staggering. The mood was light and fun. And the air felt cheerful and filled with camaraderie, respect and a sense of appreciation to all be there together, experiencing this fantastic event. In short, it was perfect.

Anyway, I've already said that I just wanted to give thanks and share some photos. Lets do that. But first, let me say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts one more time to everyone who made this such an amazing experience. We hope to see you all again next year.

ALL OF THESE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN BY ROGER PEDERSON AND USED WITH HIS PERMISSION. ENJOY! *
